The Turn is a freediving training app. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
All training data including sessions, personal bests, resting heart rate logs, nutrition entries, gear information, and badges are stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers or shared with third parties.
When you use the AI coaching feature, your session data (discipline, depth, distance, hold time, and notes) is sent to our secure server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your training debrief. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this data processing and can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.
If you connect Apple Health, we read your resting heart rate data to auto-populate your daily RHR log. This data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
We do not collect:
Camera and photo library access is used only to capture or select session photos and profile pictures. These images are stored locally on your device only.
The Turn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
